Is The Puffy Mattress Made In Canada?
YES.
Puffy is an American brand, but all Puffy mattresses sold in the Canadian market are made in Canada and shipped from Canada.
Please note that some Puffy products are made in China (like their toppers) but your mattress is made in Canada.

Puffy offer two of their popular all-foam mattresses to their Canadian customers: the Puffy and the Puffy Lux. In America, Puffy has just recently started offering their mattresses with a coil base instead of foam, so if this sounds like something you’d prefer, it might pay to wait until these options are extended to Canada. In the meantime, here are your two Puffy Mattress Canada options:
The Puffy:
The original Puffy is a 10 inch high mattress with a 3 layer construction and a medium -firm feel.
- Oeko-Tex Certified cover (which is stain resistant and machine washable)
- 4 Inches of comfort foams infused with cooling technologies (this is important for memory foams to stop them trapping heat)
- Support layer of high density polyfoam
The two comfort foam layers are a cooling cloud foam and a transition comfort foam. 4 inches is a pretty generous amount of comfort foams, particularly at this price point and with the lifetime warranty. You’ll find that most of Puffy’s closest competitors only have 3 inches of comfort foams. The comfort foams do the main job of providing pressure relief and comfort, so this is a big plus in Puffy’s favour.
The Puffy Lux:
The Puffy Lux is an upgrade on the original Puffy above and has the following additions:
- Two extra inches of height (12 inches total)
- An extra layer of comfort foam that is exclusive to the Lux: Dual Cloud Foam
- Slightly plusher feel and more contouring (due to the Dual Cloud Foam)
- More luxurious cover
The Puffy Lux is a nice mattress and it will feel really swish to lie on. I’m just not sure if the big price jump between the Puffy and the Puffy Lux is quite warranted, in my opinion it’s a bit much. However, the Lux is Puffy’s most popular model, so don’t just take my word for it: it’s still an excellent mattress that has thousands of happy customers. It’s just not my pick from the Puffy range!
It’s a shame that Puffy don’t offer their Royal mattress to their Canadian customers (yet), as that’s a step up again, and where I do think the extra money is worth it. The Royal is a new addition to the Puffy brand and was only introduced in late 2019.

Puffy also make a range of bed bases and and bedding accessories, and it looks like the whole range is available to Canadian customers.
Here’s my top tip for you if you want to buy a Puffy mattress and give it a bit of an upgrade without paying the Puffy Lux prices:
Buy the original Puffy with a Puffy mattress pad or topper.
This will add two extra inches of height and plushness to your mattress for less of your money. If you like the sound of the Puffy but worry it’s too firm, then adding the fluffy mattress pad will be the way to go. If you like the sound of the extra contouring the Lux gives, then the mattress topper (which is made of memory foam) is the way to go. The mattress topper comes in firm or soft, so if you want to make your Puffy mattress firmer, this is a great economical option for you.

Is Puffy Any Good?
I think Puffy offer a solid range of super-comfy products, including an awesome adjustable base for your ultimate bed set. They’ve made a big name for themselves in the 3 years they’ve been in business (no easy feat in the highly competitive “mattress in a box” space), and have thousands of happy customers. The fact that they make their mattresses in America and Canada is a big plus in their favor, and their lifetime warranty is unbeatable.
Business watchdogs Better Business Bureau give Puffy an A rating, and Consumer Reports gave them a positive review too, so you you’ve got consumer watchdogs backing up all those 5 star reviews you see on the Puffy website.
I’m happy to recommend Puffy Mattress to you, if I were buying Puffy in Canada myself I’d go for the standard Puffy mattress + the Puffy topper to get some extra height to get a great Canadian-made bed.
