More and more mattresses are made in the USA, which is great news if you’re wanting to support local, and get help quickly if any warranty issues arise with your mattress. It also means your new mattress is less likely to face any decompression issues as it pops out of its box, because it won’t have been sitting in there for too long.
Along with my top 3 mattresses made in the USA above, which I would one THOUSAND percent be sure will work great for you, I’ve also got a list of all the other online mattress brands that are made in the USA.
I’ve broken them down by mattress type:
- Hybrid (coil support core, memory foam and/or latex comfort layer)
- Memory Foam (memory foam comfort layers supported by a high density foam core)
- Latex (natural latex foam, which is naturally supportive, bouncy and durable)
Hybrid Mattresses Made In The USA:
We’ll get straight into it with my top choice overall, the Saatva Classic Mattress.
BEST OVERALL: Saatva Classic Mattress
Why I like it:
- This is NOT a mattress in a box. It comes at it’s full size. It has free white glove delivery, which means the delivery team will set up your mattress wherever you want, and take away any old mattresses you no longer need. Awesome service.
- The Saatva Classic is a bit different to other hybrids in that it has a double coil system. The core is a strong innerspring unit (I’m talking the thickest gauge coils I’ve seen in a mattress), then you’ve got a layer of micro pocket coils on top in the comfort layer. I used to have a mattress built like this, and it was the comfiest thing ever.
- You get a beautifully quilted top with a layer of memory foam inside it.
- You get a special lumbar support wire, which runs through the middle of the mattress to help maintain optimal spine alignment.
The Helix Luxe Range
Why I like it:
- There’s a firmness level to suit everyone: soft, medium, or firm.
- You choose if you want contouring foam or more resilient foam.
- You get zoned support coils in the base.
- You get a beautifully soft tencel cover.
- You get proprietary Helix foams in the comfort layers.
- Helix have a sleep quiz to help you choose your perfect fit (click to my article below for the link to try the quiz for yourself).
Brooklyn Aurora Mattress
Why I like it:
- Available in soft, medium, or firm.
- Built specifically with cooling in mind, I’ve rated it among the best cooling mattresses you can buy.
- Phase change material in the cover so your temperature is being regulated from the moment you hit the bed.
- It contains gel memory foam and copper infused foam. It’s unusual to see both in the one mattress. Both are cooling, and copper has the additional benefit of being antimicrobial. Win!

Memory Foam Mattresses Made In The USA
Memory foam mattresses will have at least one memory foam layer in the comfort layers, and a durable polyfoam base layer.
BEST MEMORY FOAM: GhostBed Luxe
Why I like it:
- This is probably the best all foam mattress you’re going to find in America.
- It has a patented cooling technology called “Ghost Ice” in two of the layers. This is a phase change material (similar to what I described in the Brooklyn Aurora mattress above) that is not only in the cover, it’s also laminated on one of the inner foam layers.
- It’s a generous 13 inch height, which is taller than many other memory foam mattresses.
- It has a 25 year warranty, which is extremely long for an all foam mattress.
- GhostBed is a family company that’s been in the mattress business for more than 20 years and they know how to look after their customers.
- GhostBed has an exciting range of mattresses, which are all awesome so it’s a big thing to choose the Luxe as the best.

Tempur-Pedic
Why I like it:
- Tempur is the original memory foam mattress, and they’ve managed to keep innovating their products without losing that classic memory foam conforming feel they are famous for. In fact, I challenge you to find a mattress that has more of the slow responding, body hugging feel that a Tempur Pedic mattress has.
- Their famed “Tempur Material” is really high density (read: durable and high quality).
- You can choose your firmness and height of mattress to suit your specific needs (I recommend the Tempur Breeze range, like the mattress pictured above, for its extra cooling features.
- Tempur mattress covers are designed with the zip around the side, and you can just remove the top of the cover for washing. This is an incredibly nifty feature to help keep your mattress clean, and about a thousand times more convenient than trying to remove an entire mattress cover from a large mattress.

Molecule
Why I like it:
- It’s been designed to optimize recovery for athletes (but really, anyone is going to benefit from sleeping on it), and Molecule have a ton of your favorite pro’s endorsing it (click through to the article to see the biggest name who sleeps on Molecule).
- The Molecule AirTEC2 model has an antimicrobial treatment on the cover, making it excellent for those who suffer with common household allergies such as dust mites.
- Proprietary comfort foams that are designed to be breathable and resilient.
- The Molecule AirTEC2 has zoning in the foam, which is a much rarer feature than it is in hybrid mattresses.

Latex Mattresses Made In The USA:
Latex is one of the most durable and breathable mattress materials out there. Natural or organic latex is the best quality and most sustainable; I’ve only included mattresses that do not use synthetic latex in this list.
TOP PICK: PlushBeds
Why I like it:
- They’re one of the only other companies out there offering 100% organic latex mattresses at what I consider to be an accessible price
- The Botanical Bliss mattress is made up of several latex layers: you can customize the firmness of each layer to get exactly the fit you want.
- Not only can you customize the firmness of each layer, you can also have different firmness levels on different sides of the mattress if it’s a size for two people. This is an incredibly rare feature and one that really makes PlushBeds stand out as an excellent option for couples who just can’t agree on how firm they want their mattress.
- They’ve been in business selling high quality mattresses for years (long before mattresses in boxes were ever a thing).

Avocado Green
Why I like it:
- This is actually one of my all time favorite mattresses in America. I include it in many of my list articles because I think it’s AWESOME.
- All organic materials: organic cotton cover, organic wool, organic latex.
- High quality hand made features, such as tufted buttons.
- You get a whole year to try Avocado out at home.
- Avocado are one of the most environmentally conscious companies to buy from: they are proudly carbon negative, and donate to 1% For The Planet.
- Avocado have three mattresses in their range: the best selling Avocado Green (hybrid featuring zoned support coils), the Vegan mattress (same materials as the Avocado Green but without the wool) and their brand new full latex mattress.

3. Latex For Less
Why I like it:
- You get good quality natural latex for a very affordable price.
- You can choose if you want 7 inch or 9 inch mattress height.
- Latex For Less mattresses are double sided. One side has a softer latex, the other side is firmer. This means you can flip the mattress around and experiment with which level is right for you! I know there are other memory foam mattresses out there that are built like this, but as far as I’m aware, Latex For Less are the only all-latex mattress on the market that offers this feature.
