The Puffy Mattress
The simply named Puffy Mattress is the first model Puffy made and has been around the longest. These are the Puffy Mattress prices for the “original” Puffy mattress.
- Twin: $795
- Twin XL: $825
- Full: $995
- Queen: $1,150
- King: $1350
- California King: $1350
Your Puffy Mattress Comes With a 101 Night Sleep Trial And A Lifetime Guarantee
Here’s what you’re getting for your money when you buy the Puffy Mattress:
A ten inch high all foam mattress, with memory foam comfort layers and a high density polyfoam support core.
The two memory foam layers are designed to help keep you cool, with gel infusions and clima-comfort technology
Stain resistant and removable cover (a removable cover is not as common a feature on mattresses as you might think)
My opinion: the features of the Puffy Mattress are pretty standard for a 10 inch all foam mattress. Things that make it stand out are the fact it’s made in the USA and has a lifetime warranty. I think you should be able to buy a memory foam mattress with all these features for around $1000, so with a discount the price of the Puffy Mattress is reasonable to me. The Puffy Lux Mattress
The Puffy Lux Mattress features some upgrades to the Original Puffy and therefore costs a bit more. Puffy Lux Mattress prices are:
- Twin: $1,445
- Twin XL: $1,495
- Full: $1,595
- Queen: $1,795
- King: $1,995
- California King: $1,995

These are the upgrades that make the Puffy Lux more expensive than the Puffy:
Height of 12 inches, so Puffy Lux has two inches more foam
The extra foam comes from a layer of “cloud foam”, which is a foam exclusive to the Puffy Lux. This layer is designed to add enhanced spinal support over and above what you get in the Original Puffy.
Due to the extra layer of comfort foams, the Puffy Lux has a slightly softer feel than the Original Puffy.
Puffy Lux comes with the option of a foam core or pocket coil core. This is new for Puffy, and it’s a nice upgrade feature. Pocket coils mean a bit more bounce in a mattress, better air flow and better edge support.
My opinion: the extra foam layer and softer feel is nice, but when you compare prices between Puffy and Puffy Lux, the Puffy Lux is almost double the price. I really like the fact you can change the support core to coils and get a hybrid mattress instead, but I think there are better value for money hybrids out there, such as DreamCloud (LINK) I think you’re better to either buy the basic Puffy or check out the Puffy Royal below, which really has a lot of extras for your money.
The Puffy Royal Mattress
The Puffy Royal Mattress is the newest addition to the Puffy range. It is a luxurious mattress that packs a lot of features. Puffy Royal Mattress Prices are:
- Twin: $1,645
- Twin XL: $1,745
- Full: $2,445
- Queen: $2,695
- King: $2,995
- California King: $2,995

These are the upgrades that make the Puffy Royal the most expensive of the three:
Total height of 14 inches, which is considered luxury height. This is 2 inches more than the Lux and 4 inches more than the Puffy Original.
It has four comfort foam layers, including two which are exclusive to the Royal mattress. One of these contains a gel infusion and the other has been designed to be highly reflexive, acting like a latex foam (the best type of mattress foam).
The Puffy Royal is the only mattress in the Puffy range to feature zoning in the support core, which is a big upgrade.
The transition layer has airflow channels, so the Royal will work hardest of all the Puffy mattresses to really keep you cool.
Puffy Royal also comes with the option of a foam core or pocket coil core. This is new for Puffy, and it’s a nice upgrade feature. Pocket coils mean a bit more bounce in a mattress, better air flow and better edge support.
My opinion: if you’re going to spend money on a Puffy mattress with extra features, the Royal is my pick over the Lux. You get a lot more extra for your money in the Royal, and each layer has been designed to work hard to deliver the best comfort. I’m really happy to see the addition of a pocket coil base option, as in my opinion this just makes it even better. Read my full review of the Puffy Royal here.

Which Puffy Is The Best Value For Money?
I think that if you get a discount, the Puffy range represents reasonable value for money. Prices are comparable to other mattresses in boxes with similar features, but many of those won’t have the lifetime guarantee that Puffy offers.
My choice would be either the Puffy Original for a good quality, standard memory foam mattress or the Puffy Royal for something luxurious with lots of features. I wouldn’t bother with the mid price model, the Lux, because I’m not convinced the upgrades are enough to justify the price.
