Exactly Where To Find An Avocado Mattress Showroom

Both showrooms have been carefully designed to allow you to fully experience Avocado products in a relaxed and inviting setting.
The Showroom Experience
In both Avocado Mattress Showrooms, nobody is working on commission. This means you can skip the awkward sales people and just chat in a relaxed atmosphere to their staff who are there to answer your questions. If you do decide you want to buy an Avocado product, there are no showroom sales. Instead, staff can help you place an order online which will be delivered direct to your home.
The two showrooms offer slightly different experiences. Each has been carefully designed to reflect the vibe of its location. Here’s what to expect:
Santa Monica:
“We designed our Santa Monica Experience Center to be the ideal version of a home: warm, welcoming, comfortable, inclusive. The stunning, airy space, illuminated by a bespoke skylight, is full of natural light and plants, as well as our top-rated, organic and natural bedding and furniture. We want to share our ethos and products, so we encourage you to talk to our brand experience advocates and to spread out on our mattresses and toppers, feel our lavish throws and sheets, rest your head on our luxurious pillows, and touch the textured, reclaimed wood of our furniture — or just chill out for a bit at the cafe. More than a store, we want to bring the community together through regular events, meditation and yoga classes, conversations, and live music. This is a space to connect, discover, learn, and be inspired.”
Something exclusive to the Santa Monica Showroom is the Avocado sleep experience. These are sessions that last 5-15 minutes, where you lie on an Avocado mattress under a night sky simulation with circadian lighting and music designed to help you sleep. The idea is that you can get as close to feeling like you’re sleeping on Avocado as you could imagine in a store. This experience is not something offered by your average mattress store!
Hoboken:
“If you are in the New York City metro area, we designed our Hoboken Experience Center to be an intimate, purpose-built boutique where you can touch, marvel and explore our natural materials first-hand, without pressure. It’s a refreshing way to experience our products before buying online. We want to share our mission, so we encourage you to talk to our brand experience advocates as you spread out on our mattresses and toppers, feel our lavish throws and sheets, rest your head on our luxurious pillows, and touch the textured, reclaimed wood of our furniture — or just chill out for a bit.”
The Hoboken space has been designed to feel like a little oasis in the hustle and bustle of city life. With big airy windows and lots of green , it’s a little spot of calm that’s more than just a mattress showroom.

Are Avocado Mattresses Sold In Stores?
No. Avocado is an online company who sell their mattresses directly via their website. They are not sold in any stores. Avocado understands that often we want to physcially see a mattress and sit on it before we buy, so they have created their beautiful showrooms. You cannot buy items to take home from the showroom as they are not stores. Instead, the staff can help you place your order on their online store.

Tell Me About Avocado Mattress Delivery?
Avocado ship their products to everywhere in the USA. There is no delivery cost (including Alaska and Hawaii, which is great news as some companies charge up to $150 to deliver here).
Avocado products are not available in other countries at this stage, but since their products are so loved, they are looking to expand the countries they ship to.
If you want the delivery team to also set up your new mattress, remove your old mattress (and your old box spring or foundation too, if you like) for an extra fee of $249. When you choose this service option, you can also choose the 4 hour window during which you would like your mattress delivered and set up.
Tell Me About Avocado Mattress Returns?
If you try your mattress out and you don’t like it, you can contact Avocado to arrange a return. Avocado actually donates these mattresses to charity, so they must be in a usable and presentable condition (no rips, stains, smells, etc).
There is no cost to you for returns, and there are no restocking fees. Here’s how your return would work:
- Give the mattress a fair try, decide it’s not right for you.
- Contact Avocado to arrange the return (they’ll ask for photos to see the condition of the mattress)
- Avocado views your photos and puts you in touch with their Sustainability Team (who arrange the charity donation)
- They work with you to find a charitable organization for your mattress
- If none can be found after 10 working days, Avocado will arrange to collect your mattress (no cost or inconvenience for you – don’t try and get it back into the box it will never fit)
Does Avocado Mattress Need A Box Spring?
An Avocado mattress just requires a solid foundation that supports the mattress so it can keep you comfortable. If this is a box spring for you, that’s fine. If you find box springs are outdated, a modern platform option or one of the beautiful Avocado reclaimed wood bed frames would compliment your new Avocado mattress nicely.
Don’t just put your mattress directly on the floor. This prevents air from circulating underneath the mattress and invites more dust mites and allergens up from the floor.
Is The Avocado Mattress Too Firm?
The Avocado Mattress is rated at around 7 out of 10 on the mattress scale. This is on the firmer side of medium, but is designed to be a level that most will find comfortable.
If you are a lighter person who sleeps on their side, you might find this is a bit firm for you. If you have your heart set on the Avocado brand, you can always add the plush feel Avocado Mattress Topper to soften it up a little.
If you are of average to heavy weight, you should find that Avocado offers the right balance of support and comfort.
