Winkl Vs Emma – here we have two very different mattresses. One is firm and bouncy, the other is soft like a marshmallow. One is NZ owned, one is brand new to the NZ market from Germany. In this Winkl Vs Emma comparison, I’ll take you through the differences of each, their construction, and help you decide which one would be best for you.
Napp vs Emma – mattress in a box comparison. Here are two mattresses that are different to each other in many ways. I actually have both of them in my house right now, so as well as the details about the construction and price, I can give you my personal opinion on the differences in the feel of these mattresses.
Ecosa Vs Emma – NZ Mattress in a box comparisons. In this Ecosa Vs Emma showdown, I compare the biggest international brand in our New Zealand market (Ecosa) with the newest mattress in a box to hit our shores (Emma – a hugely popular brand in the UK and Australia). Both are mattresses in a box with a firm feel, but that’s about where the similarities end: these mattresses are quite different to each other, and they feel very different to lie on. If you’re looking for a firm mattress in a box, you’ll want to read this comparison to make the right choice for your needs.

The Emma mattress is one of the best loved mattress in a box brands around the world. This German mattress brand has won numerous accolades and thousands of happy customers overseas, and have now launched in New Zealand. Emma very kindly gifted me a mattress to help my readers get to know it. This article is all about unboxing it (video further down the article) and my very first impressions of it.
Memory Foam Mattress NZ – there are more options out there than you probably realise. There are more out there than even I realised, with a new mattress appearing on our market just a couple of weeks ago! In this article, I’ll take you through your options for buying online (AKA the “mattress in a box” – memory foam mattresses that are extremely popular and come with in home sleep trials to more than compensate for not being able to see them in a store) and what you can expect to find at your local bed shop.
I convinced my parents to buy a Napp mattress. If you want to see it being set up, if you want to take a look at the foam layers inside, and if you want to hear how two people with different sleep preferences are finding it, this post is for you.
Tempur NZ: Sold in “big box” retailers around the country like Harvey Norman and Bed Post, Tempur has carved a name for themselves as the ultimate in luxury memory foam mattresses. I visited my local Harvey Norman a couple of weeks ago to check out the Tempur range – a King size mattress was going to cost around $8000 (the cheapest I could see when I looked online later was about $5000 for a Queen).
How did it feel? Do you really need to pay that much for a memory foam mattress? What exactly is it that makes Tempur so great to charge those prices? Is Tempur worth it? I’ll answer these questions (and more) as I take you through your Tempur NZ options.
Ecosa NZ: Ecosa is probably the best known online mattress retailer in New Zealand. The Australian based company is well known for its firm memory foam mattress in a box, and they have reported a huge increase in sales since lockdown. If you’re considering buying an Ecosa, read this first. There are other options that might be a better fit for you.
I actually own an Ecosa mattress myself. We bought it at the start of last year, right before I launched this website. Do I like it? Yes. I sleep well. Is there another NZ based “mattress in a box” I’d rather be sleeping on? Yes. There are two, actually.
In this Ecosa NZ article I want to explain my experiences with Ecosa to you, and show you the alternatives so you have all the facts before you dive in and buy.
New Zealand has three all foam mattress-in-a-box options: Ecosa, Napp, and Winkl. Each has different characteristics and different reasons why one might be the best mattress for you over the others. In this Ecosa, Napp, and Winkl comparisons post, I’ll give you a side-by-side overview of each, price breakdown, and give some buying recommendations to help you choose.
Here we have two mattresses that are very similar. Similar construction, similar feel, similar price. How are you going to choose? In this Napp Vs Winkl comparison, I’ll give you a detailed breakdown of every little similarity and every little difference to help you make your choice. I have a favourite, which I explain at the end.
In this Ecosa Vs Napp showdown, I compare the biggest international brand in our New Zealand market with our only NZ made mattress-in-a-box brand. One has two design features that only their brand offers. The other is made in New Zealand and has one of the best quality comfort foams on the market. They will feel quite different to lie on because they have different firmness levels. Yet, they have similar construction and similar price points. Which is which? Which one was voted more durable by Consumer NZ? And which one is best for you?
Winkl and Ecosa are two very popular mattress in a box options available here in New Zealand. In this Winkl Vs Ecosa comparison, I’ll take you through the differences of each, their construction, and help you decide which one would be best for you. I actually own an Ecosa…. if I could choose again, would I buy Winkl instead?
If you’re a kiwi looking at a mattress in a box, you might be wondering about the differences between your options and how you can choose the one that’s best for you. Napp is the only one made right here in New Zealand, and was also rated the most durable by Consumer Magazine. In this Napp Mattress Review we take a detailed look at the details of the mattress and discuss whether it’s the right choice for you.
Winkl is a relatively new player in the New Zealand mattress in a box market, and have made a bold start by claiming their mattress to be the most comfortable in NZ or your money back.
They’ve got their brand up and running quickly, with word spreading fast about their two mattresses which are selling like hotcakes. In this Winkl Mattress Review I’ll run you through all the need to know details on the mattresses, and whether I think it’s worth buying one rather than dragging yourself down to the local Beds R Us.
In case you weren’t aware, I am a Kiwi, and run my website out of my house in Christchurch. So this article is just for you: my fellow New Zealanders who are looking for mattress in a box options here in NZ. If you’ve found this article, you might have heard about the huge phenomenon that is the “mattress in a box”. Wildly successful in America and quickly gaining a large share of all mattress sales, mattresses that come compressed in boxes ready to go are hugely popular.
If you’ve read the blog here at bestmattressforyou.com in the past, you will be aware that my husband and I made our very own online mattress purchase at the start of January: we bought an Ecosa Memory Foam Mattress.
You may have read my previous posts about our journey so far with our Ecosa:

-My Full Review Of The Ecosa Memory Foam Mattress
So now I figure it’s a good time to give you an update on how we are going with our Ecosa Memory Foam Mattress, which we have now owned and slept on every night for eight months.
This Ecosa Mattress Review is totally different to all my other reviews. How is it unique?Of course, I’ll go through every aspect of the mattress you need to know about, including any negatives. But as I go, I’m going to do something special. I’m going to give you my own first hand opinions of the mattress. I can do this because my husband and I actually purchased the mattress for ourselves (yes, we bought it: I do not receive free mattresses to review for the site) for our own bed.As well as my own experiences, I’ll give you a summary of what others think of the mattress too, based on my research on independent review sites. This is important, because you need to know what a range of people think of a mattress before you decide if it’s right for you, not just one opinion.
If you’ve read the blog here at bestmattressforyou.com in the past, you will be aware that my husband and I made our very own online mattress purchase at the start of January: we bought an Ecosa Memory Foam Mattress. We have now been sleeping on it for two months. I last wrote after I had been using the Ecosa Memory Foam mattress for about a week. How are we finding it now?
Since I do not receive mattresses to test out for my reviews and rely on providing you a balanced overview of the opinions of others, I figure this is my absolute golden opportunity to share my personal experience of buying a mattress online.
